Good evening Rochelle. Thank you for the great feedback, for all that you contributed today and most importantly for all that you have and will continue to do in support of Permanency for our youth and families. I will be developing 2 new trainings for PCWTA in the coming months: Depression in Children & Adolescents-Troubled Adolescents in CWS Placement” and “The Effects of Early Trauma and Neglect and Positive Discipline-Building Relationships." You can also check my website as I work to keep my "Upcoming events " updated. If there is anything I can do to assist and / or support your efforts, please let me know.

Sincerely,
Dr Greg Manning

The training was really insightful today and has inspired me to persue some ideas that I had that I would like to someday implement into child welfare. I would like to attend future training when they come along. Thank you.

The link above doesn't seem to be working as an error message came back. There are a few organizations that specialize in family finding in the U.S. such as the Seneca Center headed by Kevin Campbell and CSSW (Children's Service Society of Wisconsin). Some state agencies have family finding specialists whose goal is to locate adult family members of children entering foster care.

For agencies, non-profits and attorneys who need to identify and locate a parent or family members living in Mexico, there is Find Families In Mexico. The company has worked with more than 4,100 clients including the State of Oregon, Dept. of Human Services, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Defense, the Ninth Circuit Court, private foster care agencies and attorneys to identify and find biological parents and extended family members in Mexico.

Family finding is a vital service so that children entering foster care can have their family involved in important decisions concerning the child.
